Sylva SATINSKÁ
Our class professor at the Ostrava grammar-school. Very fine lady, deeply disappointed by Russian invasion 1968, and silently resisting the regime by teaching us about great Russian writers of the 19th century (Tolstoj, Dostojevski, Gogol) instead of communist authors of the later period. Led the class with kind charm and humorous understanding for all students excesses. She was the first who recognized my decision to study theology and covered for me against all possible problems which could the communist school make of it.
